Twelfth Flame: The “Mango Island Burn”
By Colleen Walters — Flavoursmith, Founder, and Willy Wonka of Booze

Some cocktails refresh. This one ignites.
The Mango Island Burn is a tropical twist on a rum punch — juicy, spicy, and kissed with calamansi and chili. It’s built around Hot Shots White Rum Liqueur, fresh mango, and a hint of heat. Perfect for beach parties, poolside rituals, or founder-led games that end with a splash.
The Mango Island Burn
Ingredients:
-
45ml Hot Shots Rum Liqueur
-
60ml fresh mango purée or juice
-
15ml calamansi juice (or lime)
-
10ml chili-honey syrup (see below)
-
Dash of sea salt
Ice + chili rim or mango slice garnish Chili-Honey Syrup: Simmer 1 cup honey, 1 cup water, and 1 sliced red chili for 5 minutes. Cool and strain.
Ritual:
Before shaking, dip your finger in the chili syrup and touch it to your lips. Say the name of a place where you felt most alive. Shake hard, pour over ice, and sip with your feet in water. Even if it’s just a bucket.
