Sixth Flame: The “Venetian Burn Bellini”.
By Colleen Walters — Flavoursmith, Founder, and Willy Wonka of Booze.

Some cocktails refresh. This one revives.
The Cardamom Grove Cooler is a herbal, citrusy blend inspired by the spice gardens of Kerala and the misty hills of Munnar. It’s built around Hot Shots Rum Liqueur, fresh lime, and a cooling cardamom-mint syrup. Perfect for garden parties, hammock rituals, or founder-led tastings under the trees.
The Cardamom Grove Cooler
Ingredients:
-
45ml Hot Shots Rum Liqueur
-
20ml fresh lime juice
-
15ml cardamom-mint syrup (see below)
-
Top with soda water or cucumber tonic
-
Ice + mint sprig or lime wheel garnish
Cardamom-Mint Syrup: Simmer 1 cup sugar, 1 cup water, 6 crushed cardamom pods, and a handful of mint leaves for 5 minutes. Cool and strain.
Ritual: Before pouring, crush a mint leaf between your fingers and inhale deeply. Say the name of a place where you felt most at peace. Pour slowly, sip barefoot, and let the grove guide you
Founder’s Note
This cocktail was born in the spice-scented air of Munnar — where the hills hum with cardamom and the mornings feel sacred. I wanted something that felt like breath in a glass. The cooler is the calm. The burn is the awakening.
