Third Ritual: The “Smoked Sunset Sipper”
By Colleen Walters — Flavoursmith, Founder, and Willy Wonka of Booze.

Some cocktails are made for the spotlight. This one’s made for the afterglow.
The Smoked Sunset Sipper is your twilight ritual — a slow-burn blend of Hot Shots Spiced Rum Liqueur, blood orange, and a whisper of smoke. It’s bold, moody, and perfect for winding down with intention. Whether you’re hosting a rooftop sundowner or sipping solo on the veranda, this cocktail sets the tone for what comes next.
The Smoked Sunset Sipper

Ingredients:
-
45ml Hot Shots Spiced
-
30ml blood orange juice
-
10ml maple syrup or agave
-
Dash of smoked bitters (or a drop of liquid smoke)
-
Ice + dehydrated orange wheel or cinnamon stick garnish
Optional: Rim the glass with smoked salt or crushed pink peppercorn for extra edge.
Ritual: Light a candle before mixing. As you stir, name one thing you’re letting go of today. Sip slowly, facing west — the direction of endings, transitions, and burnished beginnings.
Founder’s Note
This cocktail was inspired by a sunset I watched in Mauritius— the kind that makes you forget your phone exists. I wanted to bottle that feeling: warm, smoky, and just a little wild. The ritual is about release. The flavour is about depth.
